Breaking Changes
Direct Transfer deprecation
Direct Transfer, the zero-copy mechanism for read operations, has been deprecated and is no longer maintained. It is incompatible with SMB signing, which is now required, and cannot be used in current deployments.

Kerberos authentication with gMSA
Added support for Kerberos authentication using Group Managed Service Accounts (gMSA), eliminating the need for manual keytab management in enterprise environments.
Improved Kerberos negotiation
Enhanced Kerberos authentication compatibility with Windows environments.
Client Enhancements
Improved compounded SMB operations
Expanded support for compounded SMB requests, improving efficiency for several file operations.
RPC communication improvements
Added support for modern RPC encoding over TCP and improved connectivity with IPv6 environments.
Server Enhancements & Management
IP whitelist configuration
Added the ability to restrict incoming connections to approved IP addresses using a whitelist configuration.
Named streams support
The YNQ server now supports named streams, enabling correct behavior for iOS and macOS clients that rely on alternate data streams.
Additional file information support
Improved server compatibility by supporting additional file information types.
Stability & Quality
This release includes multiple fixes and improvements to increase stability and reliability, including:
